Pavilion notebook week battery repair
Salaam,
My Pavilion recently started showing me a message that my primary battery has been very week, even though it is only 3 years old right now :( I don't know what bad treatment I offered it to go that way! I am so dissappointed
Anyhow, I want to repair it, so I am searching on amazon for the right battery product, but I am not finding anything useful, Can any expert help please?

Battery drain too fast and fan is loud
Hi,
I bought my laptop 3 weeks ago and the battery drains pretty fast after 2 hrs and while charging the charger gets really hot and the fan loud.
I checked the battery drivers they are up to date.
I hardly use heavy applications; MS office and Project, email, 3 internet tabs open.
Is there anything I can do about this?

How to update Intel HD Graphics 530 on Pavilion 15z?
I downloaded the Windows 10 (v1803) driver updates and upon running the executable I get an insufficient hardware error. Why? This is the driver explicitly for this model. I need a way to update my drivers and then get the most recent versions of OpenGL, OpenCL, etc.

So many problems with my HP ENVY x360 Convertible 13-ag0xxx - Please help.
Sorry there isn't really a section in this forum general enough to cover all of the problems I have. The problems range from physical defects, faulty hardware, unacceptable drivers, system crashes, and more.
Ok so here are all the things wrong with my machine (that I can remember right now):
The screen is detaching
- Screen panel is detaching from frame at the top from near where webcams and sensors are located
- This has begun to affect webcam quality also
- This has been happening on its own since soon after purchace
- I have not damaged the screen myself from any obvious neglect
Webcam is awful quality
- Just awful - is it supposed to be this awful?
Touch sensitivity towards top of the screen is really bad
- Intermittent - could be hardware or software - not sure
- Doesn't sense light touches
- Drag touches interpreted as many clicks
- Makes usage impossible
- Same occurs when using my surface pen
Windows Hello no longer works (again)
- Takes forever "starting" and then "fails to connect"
- This was working for a while but simply doesn't anymore
Start up from sleep takes an age
- Takes so very long to come out of sleep and hibernation
Fan on full and overheating
- Normal power mode fan ramps up when no processes active
- Quiet power mode the computer is ridiculously slow
- This has gotten worse recently - likely seen associating with BIOS/firmware updates
- Makes the computer actually unuseable - even when just loading youtube - gaming is even worse sometimes
When in "tablet mode" (NOT Windows' tablet mode), starts overheating
- As soon as laptop tilted sideways >40 degrees or screen flipped, overheating and fan ramps up
- Becomes unusable in quiet environments i.e. at university - where I need it most.
Sound drivers are awful
- When headphones plugged into 3.5mm audio jack, media plays without sound for ~2 seconds before cutting in
- When using Bluetooth earphones, some programs cannot cope and start to lag really badly (namely Discord, cannot tell if this is yours or Discord's fault)
- On multiple occasions it has failed entirely and a factory reset has been the only option
Wi-Fi and network connections have been a bad experience
- Loosing Wi-Fi connection, the drivers failing, thinking it's connected via ethernet when it's not
- Makes the internet sometimes unusable
Touchpad drivers are awful
- Keystrokes deactivate the touchpad for 1 second. The setting which should turn this 'feature' off doesn't work properly - this make's lecture notes impossible
- Scrolling occasionally becomes ridiculously slow and laggy - something to do with accelerated smooth scroll - only fix is restarting drivers or restart
Displayed CPU error straight out of the box
- When first booting up, the caps lock key flashed the 'CPU NOT FOUND' error - tried a few more times and eventually it worked
- This was later fixed by an update to something, but it started happening again for a few months, and then fixed again.
GPU drivers are really bad and badly managed
- Graphical glitches for ages in all aspects
- Currently having issues with visual media becoming green and slowing down all processes on the computer
Various times the machine has BSOD'd
- Mostly fixed now but likely due to awful drivers/hardware
Booting used to take ages
- After some BIOS updates it seemed to get better - not so bad now
The laptop thinks it's in 'tablet form' (NOT Windows' tablet mode) when tilted ~40 degrees to the side
- This is really annoying as it deactivates the keyboard when say lying in bed
- I do not mean Windows 10's tablet mode, but instead mean the state the laptop believes that it is in laptop form factor, and so some processes are changed (i.e. Rotation lock becomes active (why is it inactive in the first place???))
I can tell when my laptop is experiencing the worst glitches
- When the HP Audio Switch icon in the icon tray becomes fuzzy (along with Battery indicator and some other system icons), the system becomes increasingly buggy and needs to be factory reset
To fix these things over the 8 months I have had the machine, I have factory reset the system more than twice, have reinstalled drivers several times each, run various diagnostics, and attempted to find better drivers and workarounds - which obviously cause some more problems - but at least makes the machine *somewhat* useable...
Overall I have been really disappointed with the laptop and the quality of updates it receives. I have attempted to write up this list of complaints before, but as I was doing so the network driver failed and the system crashed - leaving only the draft system of your forums as my final backup, which obviously didn't work because of course they didn't, so I'm having to rewrite all this a few months later...
Now that I am done with university for this year I hope it is easy to get this sorted. I am still within the one year warranty, and I also purchased the 2 extra years extended warranty.
Trust me that I have tried reinstalling, restarting, and anything that I could have done I have done, so please no suggesting I do any of that again, thanks. To me it seems this laptop needs to be replaced. What do you think?

Need Keyboard P/N
I bought a Envy with German keyboard, but for professional reason I would require a swiss one. Does someone has the p/n available. With the old probook it was easy to replace them, two srews on the bottom and then activate the clicks, this one seems to be integrated in the top cover. So If someone can help me out with the service manual or at least the pages to replace the keyboard.

Laptop is swollen on the right hand side of the mouse. On closing the laptop there is a huge gap between the screen and the main laptop. I also hope that it is safe to use the laptop with this swelling. Need some help and advice.

Spectre x360 Motherboard Failure
I have had my 2018 Spectre x360 13" with i7/16GB RAM for about a year and four months. I am a student and used it everyday in tablet mode to take notes and laptop mode for everything else. Often times I would notice it would overheat regardless of how heavy the load was and the fan would start whirring very loudly. In the moment it wasn't a huge issue but ultimately the heat damaged the laptop and the motherboard failed.
Is there something HP can do about this? This laptop was very expensive and I was hoping to use it throughout university. Moreover, the overheating/motherboard failure seems to be a known issue in the Spectre x360 series, even the previous generation, which they haven't fixed and they haven't even done a recall. Even the new 2019 model seems to have heat issues. It's ridiculous that HP continues selling and marketing such an unreliable laptop for such a high price...! I'm trying my best to warn people about this everywhere I go.
Please let me know if HP can do something about my laptop.

Left side of the bottom of my HP Spectre 13-v011dx popped open
I was working on my computer when I heard a loud pop and the left side of the bottom of my computer opened up. I see that others on this site have had the same problem. My warranty is expired, but this shouldn't be happening. Is there anything I can do to fix it other than take it to a repair shop?
