My HP Pavilion x360 sends everything I click on to the recycle bin.
I have reformatted the entire drive. I have installed windows stand alone from brand new usb. I have done this 3 times. I reformatted everything 3 times.I have deleted all the partions. I then installed another fresh copy. It continues to delete everything. Even as I type it tryies to delete letters if i edit a section. I then inserted the orignal factory reset drive usb and reformatteed and installed again. each time running all updates for everything. Ihave scanned with every anti-virus and malware. nothing is stopping this. my next next is to install the 32 bit version of the keyboard and touchpad to see if that tricks it into working right. this is a win 10 64 purchased laptop. please help.

No power, only 20 seconds of battery charge, blinking power and caps lock
My computer was working fine.
One time I was using it without the power cord. When it got to low battery, I plugged it in, but it would not charge.
I plugged in the cord and took it out, and plugged it in again, and then the battery charged and the power source worked.
The same problem happened the next day, but when I put the cord in and out it would not work.
I took out the battery, unplugged the power cord and all external devices, and then held down the power button for 20 seconds to reset the power.
When I plugged in the power cord (without the battery installed) the power button and caps lock flashed at regular intervals.
I could start the computer for about 20 seconds, then the battery would die.
The power cord works in another computer (so it is not the problem) and I have also used another power cord.

Need to replace Battery in HP Pavilion, but repair facility says they need model number.
My battery is failing. My HP Pavilion is SN [EDIT]. I also have the PN nunmber. I bought the lap top March 2016. The local repair facility says they need a model number. I shared this with HP Support and have a case number. Will they contact me? I asked if they could tell what the model number is or how I could find it.
Where do I find the model number I cannot find the original paper work. I bought the lap top from Costco.

External Devices Lag
I bought this laptop couple of months ago, completely blank, so I've installed the Windows 10 64-bit all by myself.
The laptop worked fine, but I've had this problem since the beginning - all my exterrnal devices either constantly "falling asleep" or lag whenever I've stopped using them.
Bluetooth keyboard and mouse and wired headphones.
Headphones always need a second befoe playing sound again whenever I stop listenning to anything.
Mouse and keyboard too need a second before working again. Sometimes mouse needs few seconds more before continuing to work and even does it in the middle of me using it.
Keyboard has it worse, it too needs few seconds before working again and even has horrendous input lag whenever I stop typing on it.
I had the very same devices on my previous laptop and they never had the same problem.
The fact that my wired headphones lag too doesn't mean my laptop has dinsfunctional bluetooth thingy.
I've tried to solve it by installing Windows 10 and HP Omen and devices drivers but nothing helped.
Online help videos say to toggle the some kind of power function in devices seeing but I've never ever found any,
I've asked my more tech advanced friends and they got nothing.
I've dragged my laptop to a local tech shop and they too found nothing.

HP Assistant keeps changing my update preference to Install Automatic updates
I never like automatic updates installed without my permission so in HP Assistant I choose to let Me choose what updates to download and install, but I go back later and see that the choice has been changed by HP to them installing updates automatically and these updates are sent to my computer to install and I cannot get rid of them. I hate this and will close HP Assistant if they keep doing this mess.

Can an Envy dv7 laptop work without the secondary HDD?
Hello all. I am replacing the primary HDD on an old Envy dv7 laptop after the old one died. However, I neglected to order a replacement secondary HDD. Will the computer still function without the secondary drive? I don't want to go through the replacement process for the primary drive if it won't work without the secondary backup drive. Can I just take the old secondary HDD out and leave it out until I get a replacement for it and still have a functioning laptop?

Undetected Battery / Laptop won't turn on unless it's plugged in
The battery is undetected but sometimes it detects for 2-3 seconds and switches back to undetected on Windows. On BIOS, the battery is undetected as well (doesn't show any SN). When charging the laptop, the light near the power jack switches between white and orange. The battery seems working fine, except for the fact that I can't turn it on without plugging the power brick first. When I try to power it on without power brick, it only shows 3 blinking white lights. Once it's on, I can safely remove the power brick and it can run fine on battery like normal but still undetected. When I hover on the battery icon on taskbar it shows '255% available' and 'plugged in' (even though it isn't).
Things I've tried so far
- Hard reset (removing battery/power and holding power button for 30 sec)
- Bought a new replacement battery (2x)
- Bought a new power brick
- Reinstalling the operating system and official drivers
- Used HP assistant to check the battery status but it's undetected
The HP laptop in question is an HP Pavilion G6-1313EL and out of warranty. Normally, I would just buy a new laptop but this one is a gift from my son who recently passed away.

Hallo,
ich habe für meine Frau zum Geburtstag einen neuen HP Pavilion Gaming 15-cx0008ng in violet gekauft (Amazon), zu einem sehr günstigen Preis (ca. 900€). Das Gerät kam im ungeöffneten und (mit klarem Klebeband) eingeklebten Originalkarton ohne Beschädigung. Aber als meine Frau das Gerät auspackte, waren auf der LEERTASTE und dem TOUCHPAD deutliche Nutzungsspuren zu erkennen und außerdem scheint der Deckel hinter dem Display leicht nach innen gebogen zu sein.
Amazon hat dieses Gerät nicht mehr auf Lager und listet es auch nicht mehr, auch anderswo habe ich diesen Typ nicht mehr gelistet gesehen.
Meine Frau möchte kein gebrauchtes Gerät und ist dementsprechend unzufrieden, was ich verstehe.
Was macht man in so einem Fall, wenn ich einerseits den Preisvorteil erhalten will, aber andereseits ein Neugerät erwarte?
