I recently aquired a Probook 470 G5, I currently have 1 VGA and one HDMI external monotior connected, along with the laptop screen. What is the correct accesory to run a second HDMI monitor over the usb-C port?
The quality of the VGA image is significantly poorer than the HDMI image at 1080P on identical Samsung monitors and I would like to get both onto the same quality.

I heard and saw a feature on my friends laptop called Modern Standby. It adds the ability to go into and resume from "Modern Standby". The sleep state in the older model was S3 but in this new model it is S0i3, which Microsoft refers to as Modern Standby and Intel calls S0 Low Power Idle.
So, with this feature enabled, I can wake the Laptop Sleep by saying "Hey Cortana". This even works with the lid down.
I think this is a great feature but I was surprised I did not know about it when I was doing research to purchase a new laptop this summer.
How can a consumer buying from retail know which HP Laptops support this capability ?

So I was wondering if the HP Omen Graphics Accelerator would support the new HP Studio Zbook line?
I have a HP Pavilion g6-2213ea Notebook PC with Windows 7 64 bit installed. I have had to replace the Hard Drive as it was Faulty.
From what I understand this laptop had Windows 8 at one time but the owner wanted Windows 7 Pro so it was changed.
I have replaced the Hard Drive but have no Drivers for this Laptop so cannot connect or do very much at all. I have search HP with no luck. Can someone help to get this Laptop running again.
I've bought my laptop in 2015 july and at 2017 I've faced an issue that is horizontal lines and in 2018 july battery is not getting charged so could you help in sorting out the problems and how should it have to be solved.
MY Laptop battery got damaged & I purchased a new one as mentioned the model number(740715-001) to be replaceed
But the new battery shows fully charged(LED indicator) at 75% & no increase in charging.
While charging the laptop shows not charging & charging again then suddenly stop for few seconds & charge again automatically.
Its not going beyond 75%.
Please help me to resolve the issue. Awaiting your earliest reply.

Notebook has been knocked and won't boot. showing the following error.

diagnostics have been run and show a hard drive failure with the ID GSM57H-87B95R-XD7X61-61TW03
My assumption is that the drive is unrecoverable and would appreciate if someone can confirm or deny this. The Notebook is out of warranty.

I want to upgrade the HDD that came with my laptop with a Samsung 970 Pro Nvme SSD. I checked the user manual of the laptop and it says that it has an M2 slot, so it is compatible. My question is that the SSD needs a PCIe 3x4 interface so that it can deliver its full read/write capability, i.e., 3500/2300 Mb/s. I am not sure if the laptop has a PCIe 3x4 interface or not. Can anyone tell how can I know, if the laptop HP Probook 430 G5 has a PCIe 3x4 interface or not?

I got this computer a few years back, and it's just been sitting. I decided to use it and plug a mouse into it, the laser comes on the mouse, but it does not work. Therefore, the mouse is getting power but the computer is just not recognizing it. All 3 ports are like this. I have reset the computer completely, I have looked at the drivers, everything is up to date. I'm stumped and just really want to figure this out. Thanks.

I just dumped a 8 gb 205 pin 1333Mhz into this revolve 810 and booted it up, a popup comes on screen that tells me the memory is of wrong type and to remove it , but then it just goes ahead and boots and it works fine (so far )

I had a 1333Mhz just lying around(in an old computer) , I know the one solderd onto the bord is 1600Mhz .
but with 12 gb of memory Iam sort of fine with a downgrade in speed.
so is there anyway to get rid of the annoying startup message in bios..
dont feel like turning on one thing of at a time to see if it stops complaining...
nice laptop otherwise..
put in new hardrive which it did not complain about , and fiddled with bios to get windows10 64 bit to install, had to manully klick the .efi file .
so should I just spend 60 pucks on 1600mhz 8gb memory or will it just complain again

I am using a 6+ year Levovo i5 laptop and found the HP Pavilion 15-cc050wm for a price I think is worth getting/upgrading to before replacing my current laptop is needed. I have looked over the forums and was wanting to upgrade this to a dual drive HDD/SSD. Does this laptop have a M2 slot or would doing my current config of adding the SSD via DVD rom replacement be the best method. I am new to the M2 slots but am aware of the SATA if need to replace current HDD or use that with the rom replacement. Many thanks for helping me.
