I have had this laptop for about a year now and this issue has happened twice now and in the begining of last year. i have a external hard drive that for the first 4 days it worked fine but after that my laptop stoped reading the usb connection and never read it sinc then so i had just wasted 100€ on a external harddrive for no reason beacuse the harddrive worked on any other computer except this one. 20 minutes ago i plugged in my mouse and it started to not read it aswell. i tried to reset my computer already and keeps saying it is failing to reset. this problem keeps happening and i havent found anyway to fix it at all. and i need this mouse to work as i use ADOBE to work and the mouse has programable buttons. ty for the help

HP spectre wont charge
Laptop ran out of battery and died went to charge it and light wouldn't show up. Tried different ports in the house and another wall charger, still nothing. And wouldn't turn on. Left it plugged in overnight and in the morning pressed the power button and the light kept flashing and then when I took charger out light stopped. Then was able to turn it on and it had 87% battery but it shut down after 10mins.

Installing WWAN in Elitebook x360 1030 G2
I'd like to install a WWAN module and want to know if this is possible.
I know the laptop has an M.2 style slot for a WWAN card, but a card one was not included when it was ordered. Some laptops (like Dell E6xxx) include antenna cables for WWAN, but others don't and I have no way of finding out whether mine has the cables without removing the bottom (which I have to buy a torx screwdriver for iirc). Does the x360 include the antenna cables for models ordered without a WWAN module?
The SIM slot is covered by a plastic insert that won't come out. Will I have to push it out from the inside and then insert a sim card, or is a sim reader even included? If not, where can I get one and are there instructions for installing it?
The module I have sitting around is an EM7355 but it's a Lenovo model. It's adequate for my needs but does HP whitelist wireless cards in their bios like Lenovo does?

HP Envy X360 Ryzen Auto Rotation stops working.
This is not a question, just posting what I had to do when your auto rotation stops working. I believe it must have been a windows update that caused this because I had to go into Regedit to turn this back on with a reboot.
OPEN REGEDIT AND GO TO HKey_Local_Machine/ SOFTWARE/ POLICIES/ MICROSOFT/ WINDOWS/ LOCATIONSAND SENSORS/ AND SET Disablesensors from 1 TO 0 close editor and restart
After the reboot and windows is loaded, rotate your laptop 90 degrees and it should start auto rotating again.
All I have to say, thank you Microsoft for wasting hours of my life in frustation that I can never get back. Hopefully this knowledge doc I created will save hours in other people's lives

Can a portable USB hard drive draw power from a "data-transfer only" USB 3.1 port?
I just purchased a Pavilion 15-cs0053cl laptop that has three USB 3.1 ports that are "data-transfer only." From the online description, which talks only of phones, watches, and other low power devices, it is not clear if a portable USB 3 hard drive with no power supply of its own can draw power from these ports. I want to be sure of this before I open the box.

Touchpad click on light tap
Hello, touchpad on my new Spectre is making clicking sound even on lightest touch/tap. Even when click is not registered by system, there is this sound.
When I press slowly hard on bottom half of touchpad, there are actualy two clicks
1) First, lighter, as if touchpad is not fixed in place correctly
2) Secound, louder, correct one, when you press touchpad fully
What can I do? Should I replace my unit?

Graphic card AMD HD 8750M stopped working with error code 43 after Windows 10 update
Hello guys!
I'd like to provide my situation:
- My VGA worked normally before upgrading (clean install) to Windows 10 64 bit.
- After the clean install, the VGA continued to work for about 30 minutes until it started to have problems.
- I have tried to download the graphic driver from HP support site, from Device Manager, and from AMD's auto detect tool.
- I have tried to download and install the chip set driver and repeated the above attempt.
- I have manually prevented Windows from installing graphic drivers automatically.
Now that the graphic card shows up in Device Manager, but with the error code 43.
Please help, I've been retrying for months and start to wonder if my graphic card is damage (even if it's the case, it shouldn't show up in Device Manager)

HP Spectre 360 motherboard burnout
I went to plug in and turn on my laptop, as the battery had apparently died when the amber charging light briefly flickered and then short circuited, leaving the motherboard literally burnt out (and hot) while the laptop was on my lap/legs. Unfortunately the laptop is out of warranty and HP is unwilling to fix it for less than half the original price of the product itself. Even though this is a known issue with this laptop and a known safety hazard that has been documented several other places on this forum.

A few days ago my laptop was stolen. I had just done a factory reset and all my data was on an external harddrive so luckily I didn't lose any data. But this laptop was only 1 year old and cost around 2000 dollars so I really want it back.
Find my device wasn't enabled unfortunately.
Is there any way I can find my laptop?
I went to the police and they said they can track my laptop using the serial number. Once the thief connects to the internet they can track my laptop.
I had the feeling he was just trying to reassure me.
Is this true and if it is. Can I try to find it myself using the serial number?
Or maybe via the HP support assistant?

CPU Overheating
For some time my laptop has been shutting down, after a couple of hours or so use, because of overheating. Yesterday I installed "Core Temp" free program and noted that, prior to shutdown, the CPU temperature was showing temperatures of around 98c. Late yesterday evening I shut the laptop down as usual and re-started at around 9.30 am this morning. The first thing I did was open Core Temp. and saw that the CPU was already showing a temperature of 66c.
Now, we have been going through a spell of hot weather recently with afernoon temperatures reaching 30c +. However I cannot understand why the CPU (AMD V140) should be showing a temperature of 66c a couple of minutes or so after start up when the computer has been switched off for 10 hours or so.
By the way, I have Targus fans under the laptop but I don't think these make much difference to the lapotop temperature.
I use the laptop for email, news and You Tube but not for games.
Could anyone explain the high initial temperature of the CPU please?

I am using this laptop since 2017 October. This laptop has only one 7200 RPM 1 TB Hard Drive and 8 GB of RAM. I want to add 120GB M.2 SSD into this model to get better speed and performance. In addition, I want to add another 8GB of RAM (2400 Ghz).
Questions are:
- Can I add M.2SSD with this model?
- Can I add another 8GB RAM with this model?
- This laptop came with original windows 10. Will I get this original windows 10, if I will add that two new hardware into this laptop? Or, it will lose the original windows validity?
