I am looking to find out where the hard drive is on this laptop. I need to take it in for service and told I should remove the hard drive. Am not able to locate a diagram that can show me where it is.

envy m6-1205dx memory upgrade from 6gb to 16gb
I've recently bought some RAM to upgrade from 6Gb to 16Gb. Upon installing it, my laptop would not boot up. The power light came on, made a quick sound like the HDD reving up, and nothing... blank screen.
Did I buy the wrong type of memory? I'm pretty decent with tech stuff, but before I go returning it, I want to make sure I know what to get.
I bought a PNY DDR3 / 16GB / 2x8GB / 1600MHz / CL11 / 1.35V memory package. I get most of it, but I'm not sure what the whole CL11 deal is... any how, here's the link to the product from amazon (where I bought it from):

Internal microphone

Video RAM
Greetings.
I have a quick question and sorry if this has been asked before; I do not have much time to dive in the forums.
I own an HP 2000 (no. A7A80UA#ABA), 8GB of RAM and I want to know if there is a way to increase the memory dedicated to video without altering the BIOS (I'm not willing to brick my pc). My BIOS is Insydeh20 rev 3.5, Hewlett-Packard F.43 2011.

ZBook G2 replacing 8570w, using HP Advanced Docking Station. How to get back use of 5 displays?!

So the company laptop HP 8570w is being replaced with a ZBook G2.
I have an HP Advanced Docking Station so that I may have 5 displays!
Previously on 8570w
- 2 x DP on back of docking station
- 1 x VGA on back of docking station
- 1 x DP on side of 8570w while docked
- 8570w screen

Multi-Display Support
With Docking Station*:
The Advanced Docking Station has VGA and four digital display output connectors (two DVI and two DP). Of those four digital display connectors, only two may be used at a time (two DVI, two DP or one DP and one DVI). When used together with the HP ZBook 15, a maximum of five independent displays are supported. These five displays are the internal panel plus four external displays connected to three display outputs connectors from the standard or Advanced Docking Station*, and the Thunderbolt™ connector from the ZBook.
So... on ZBook G2
- 2 x DP on back of docking station
- 1 x VGA on back of docking station
- 1 x mini-display port (thunderbolt) on side of ZBook G2 while docked
- 8570w screen
The system will detect the 5 displays... BUT, will only allow me to select FOUR (4) of the FIVE (5) displays to function/work with... As soon as I select the Extend desktop option on the disconnected display, another display is disconnected!!!
Is this a driver issue? or is there some adapter I need for the Thunderbolt 2 port on this ZBook G2 machine to enable the recognition and grant the ability to extend?

Dropbox on HP stream 13
Dear All,
I am considering buying the HP stream 13. i understand it has only a 32gb eMCC. I would like to install dropbox on it. I have two questions
1)Should i buy a flash drive or a microSD to increase my space storage?Is there a difference
2)Assume i install the dropbox file to be on the flash drive/memory stick, if i remove the storage device, will my dropbox delete all my files?

Body separating by hinge and broken cooling fan
I bought this laptop in December 2013, so it's only a little over two years old. When opening the lid, the left side of the body separated. I was able to squeeze it back together, but now an error message says the cooling fan isn't working and it shuts down. I know I'm out of warranty, but this seems to be a frequently reported problem. Can I get some kind of help with this?

Battery life
I always use my laptopl plugged in an external source but sometimes use it at its own battery.
When plugged in, is there anything I can do to preserve the battery life, such as not fully charging?

I have a HP 5188-7748 external omni directional antenna. I have no idea where it came from but it is still in original bag. I am guessing I have never needed it but don't even know what it came with. Can someone let me know what it goes to?

computer wont turn on
Reacently I opend my hp laptop model 15-r132wm to replace my hard drive but when I opend it in the top left corner little copper? prongs started falling out I thought little of it but now it wont turn on there is only one prong left and i think i need these to turn my computer on. PLEASE HELP also computer is still opened so i can fix it

Sleep, turn off, fan issue
Hello every one,
I am seeking solution that bugging me since i have replaced my internal memory drive. My model number is "f114dx".
Some times my laptop does not go to sleep mode even after black out of screen. Fan keeps running and the light of "on" button doesnt go down. I have to press it (on button) for a long time to shut it down. i have to do the same when i hit sleep on windows menu and screen goes black out. I have windows 10 education. I was using it before but there was no problem at that time. I have tried each and every solution which i could find online and i can not get to bottom of it.
My hard drive is "Seagate 500 Gb 5400 rpm , 64Mb cache, 8 Nand Cache, Solid state hybrid drive". i just replace my hard drive 10-15 days ago. I have also tried to fresh install windows 10 twice.

Installed SSD drive; getting 12000 errors (atapi error 11) in Windows event log
Just before Window 8 came out, I upgraded to a new SSD drive (SanDisk SDSSDHP256g). Ever since, including through my current Window 10 version, the computer freezes periodically (many times a day). While I have not lost any data, it would be great to get the blockage fixed. This week the Windows event log showed that I have 12000 errors (atapi error 11). Windows recognizes that the program (any indiscriminate program) is "Not Responding". It usually disappears after a minute or two, but it is very annoying. The ATA Channel 0 is set to "Ultra DMA Mode 6".

Black Screen - Solid Orange WiFi Light - Blinking Caps Lock
Hello,
I've read other forums on this topics but have been unable to find a clear answer. My problem started with my graphics card not working. I could hear the computer start normally but couldn't see anything. I could even enter my windows password and hear windows loading...but I couldn't see anything. Plugging in an external monitor did nothing.
I put the computer away for a couple of days and tried it again...and to my surprise it worked. This lasted for a few weeks before the next issue happened. I went to start my computer and this time not only did the screen not come on but I could tell that the computer wasn't loading as before. I tested my hard drive and it works fine.
My first assumption was a motherboard issue considering that my graphics portion went out first (part of motherboard) and then the whole system. But then I began to wonder about a possible CPU issue. I would like to know a simple way of determining whether it's the motherboard or CPU.
Here is what happens when I start the computer:
Fan Kicks on
WiFi light is solid orange
Caps light blinks once every 3 seconds. It repeats this pattern with no end.
Screen stays black.
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. I am prepared to replace either as necessary, just don't want to choose the wrong part to install and waste money.

Replacement battery- where to buy?
I need to buy a new battery for my laptop as my current one is completely dead so I can only use the laptop when it's plugged in. Does HP actually sell replacement batteries as I cannot find any for the life of me.
