I want to expand the amount of RAM in my laptop, the HP pavilion 15-ac009tu, but I can't find the maximum it can handle, any suggestions? I checked the product specification page but that only shows how much there is right now.

Laptop charging only when in sleep mode
My cahrger is charging my laptop only when it's in sleep mode,the problem does not seem to lie with the laptop as other chargers work fine.when I plug in the charger the charging light is on but it does not show cahrging sign and does not charge,unless I put it on sleep.

Battery Issue
I brought my laptop 18 months back. Its a HP Pavilion Notebook – 15 – bs637tu, i3 processor with 4GB RAM and INTEL HD Graphics and runs on Windows 10 (64 Bit) OS.
When the charge drops to 50%, it just shuts down. Is it a hardware or a software issue? What should I do?

adding conventional SSD to laptop with M.2 already in place
Hi.
I just bought a Pavilion 15-cs0013na. It comes with a 256Gb M.2, which is great, but I'd like to add a large capacity 2.5-inch SSD as well. There's a space for it, and what looks like a connection to receive a cable for it (the thing on the circuit board labelled HDD?? see photo). Can I just plug in my MX-500 SSD and go? If so, what connector would I need? Any pitfalls I should be aware of? Any and all advice welcome!!

Used the HP PC hardware diagnostics test and the short drive self test failed. How can i fix this?
Recently my device has started unexpectedly restarting at random when im trying to use it. Upon restarting it does not connect to the internet, and displays no connections available. I browsed the internet to try and fix this issue, and some solutions such as certain commands in the command prompt did have some short term success in allowing an internet connection, however the problem always returned. I recently downloaded the HP PC Hardware diagnostics test and ran it on my device. I carried out a systems fast test and everything passsed other than the short drive self test, which failed and displayed the failure ID: QBR15G-7NH9LR-MFPWMG-60X713. When i clicked the failure ID the failure details stated "The test found a problem with your hard drive and it may need to be replaced. If possible, back up your personal files to a flash drive or external hard drive as soon as you can". My warranty has expire, how do I go about solving this issue?

Are Other Other Recent HP Laptop Owners having Issues with HP Motherboards?
Bought this Laptop in Dec 2018 and It's been treated like a desktop machine. It's been sitting on a ventilated stand, I don't think I've used it as a laptop more than 2. It's mever even left the house. It started showing wild shaking and flickering about two weeks ago. Took it to an HP Preferred Service Center and they said the motherboard needed replacement. Got the new motherboard, got it back home, and withing two hours, the audio sound started to switch from headphones to speakers all on its own. It's back at the same HP Preferred Service Center, undergoing more diagnostics. My confidence in HP Quality Assurance is getting a little shaken. Potentially I have another substandard motherboard. If replaced, this will be the 3rd mother board in less than 6 months. That's a lot of bad motherboards for a brand new, pampered Laptop/Notebook. Are other users experiencing this same level of hardward instability in recent HP Laptop/notebook purchases?

pc overheating
Dear guys,
I have bought my new notebook HP 15-da1000nl about 1 month ago. Immediately I have notice trhat the fan often go. So I have download Core Temp 1.13 to visualize the temperature of CPU. I have worry about it when I have seen that sometimes the temperature reaches 90 °C (and one time 97 °C....!!!!!) only with MS EDGE in use....why? I am worried.... The notebook is new and I use on a desk in my room without dust so I think this is not a problem of dust...I have also tried to keep the back raised of computer to permit more entry air in bottom air window but I have not success. Why this happen?
I have all the pc upgraded with ms update function. Now I have seen in internet that there is new BIOS version (I have F.14 and in internet there is F.16). But why HP SUpport assistant insatlled on my pc doesn't communicate me the new version of BIOS?
I have also run HP PC Hardware Diagnostic Windows 1.5.8.0 utility and the notebook passes all the test with success.
My PC (new....!) doesn't support HP CoolSense...
Please could you give me a help ?

Fn key on Probook g6
Functional keys is locket to fn functions by default. I need to switch its for default functions (f1-f12) and use additional functions using fn+f* combination. But there is no option for doing it in efi settings. Fn lock function doesn't work too.

HP Notebook Left Hinge Problem
I bought my daughter an HP-15-bs131nr laptop for use at college in Dec 2017. In February 2019 the left hinge of her laptop broke (no damage had been done to the laptop previously -- no drops/rough usage, etc). She worked around the problem by being very careful when opening the latop since she needed if for school. In April 2019, she received the 90B error on bootup that indicated the CPU fan is not working and the laptop would shutdown. I think this issue is related to the hinge problem -- it appears that some of the debris from the broken hinge may have gotten into the CPU fan and jammed it. I know that the laptop is no longer under warranty, but I know that HP has suffered a large number of hinge failures on their laptops and I hope that HP will provide some answers or assistance with getting her laptop returned to an operating condition.
I tried to contact customer support - but quite frankly the website is rather clunky and I have been unable to get a phone number to contact support. I received an email from HP saying that I was assigned a case number when I put in my contact information, but I have never received any contact from HP. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Left Hinge of my HP Touchscreen 17.3" HD+ Notebook is Broken
We bought our HP Touchscreen 17.3'' Notebook in August of 2018. We use it as a desktop (hardly ever moved). Now the left hinge has started to come apart. The laptop is less than a year old and has not been dropped or been used roughly. Suggestions on how I go about getting it fixed?
