Ssd question
I just bought this laptop (HP Notebook - 15-db0005dx) and I will need a bigger hard drive, it comes with 128g SSD.
i want to purchase a new ssd around 500g - 1tb but I don’t know what kind/size I need?
also how do I replace it and how do I get it to have windows etc all back on the new ssd after I install it?

Maximum memory possible
Hello,
A while ago I upgraded the RAM on my computer to 2 x 8gb, this was the specific memory I installed. Everything is working fine, but I'm hoping to upgrade to 32 or even 64 gb of RAM. It seems like 64 gb is not available, but I found 32 gb here.
1) Is the specific model I chose compatible with my laptop computer?
2) Does my laptop computer even allow 32gb of RAM?

I need a keyboard replacement
i have been trying, unsuccessfully so far, to find a keyboard to replace my present one. I have tried ordering models which have been recommended but which, when delivered, clearly will not fit. Either the connecting ribbon is wrongly aligned or there no fixing tabs in the right place or both!
My final solution I hope might be to locate a used Keyboard from an otherwise unserviceable identical laptop ?
The moodel number provided by HP for my keyboard is 639 396-031.
it is really frustrating that my laptop which was not cheap is now in danger of being scrapped simply because neither HP or anywhere else can supply a suiatble keyboard!
I hope there is a saint out there somewhere who can help please!

HELP...cpu upgrade
i replace my b820 with 2020m..but with 2020m i get black screen ..the pc i running and the caps lock i blinking 3 times and pause and again 3 times..ect... no sound...f12 is orange...when i put back b820 everything is normal...bios insyde f.39...should i upgrade bios or something else to do...i tried to reset the pc but no luck....the latest bios for my pc is f.39

Spectre x360 13-ap not charging anymore after upgarde to BIOS F22
After the latest BIOS upgrade to F22 the notebook is not charging anymore. AC adapter works, as verified on another unit, however the Spectre won't charge anymore, charging LED stays off. Nothing else has been changed on the sw load. Any hints anybody or able to repro yourself? Can't recommend to upgrade to F22!

Cannot find anything on this code - replaced bulging battery with replacement 902499-855 and diag does not detect battery type and fails with code PSEL1-8HH9JD-MFPUQ1-COFT03
New battery is dead? I verified connector properly installed - took photo before removing to make sure I got it correctly installed.

Continuously it was showing install the OS in hard disk
Suddenly display shown OS is not installed in hard disk. When I shown to local service centre he told needs to replace hard disk and connector of hard disk and motherboard , I change both. Again after a week same issue came when again took back to service person he told the same connector was short-circuited need to replace . Ok he replace the connector and again he is telling when I replace the connector it's getting shot-circuit. His next suggestion is to change the mother board. Could anyone please suggest me what is the right way to go ahead.

Can not find maximum ram
It might be that the current 4gb is the max ram this notebook can handle, or it is just that i can not find it.
I have tried looking it up in the user manual and the specifications, I have discoverd that the current ram is 4gb but the somewhat frustrating search has not let to any further answers. I want to get into some photo edditing so i really need more ram. Can some one help me out with the number of gb to which i can upgrade this notebook.

Broken Left Hinge on HP Envy/ screen cracked
My HP Envy's left hinge broke and cracked my screen on March 16th (2019). I only purchased the computer last February and the warranty started Feb. 22nd (2018), and ended Feb. 21st (2019). I was hoping you could help me with how to go about repairing it since it is so close to the warranty date and I've only had it for a short amount of time. A repair man in the town I live in said that sometimes HP would fix these types of problems for a fraction of the price because it is so close to the warranty date and it seems to be a manufacturing error. I have taken good care of the laptop and the hinge popped simply when i opened the screen.

AMD A8-7410 APU with AMD Radeon R5 Graphics help
Hi team,
I have a HP laptop with AMD A8-7410 APU with AMD Radeon R5 Graphics.
Basically when I go to auto detect and install the latest drivers. It installs and then my mouse will lag every few seconds and my computer is really slow. I then have to uninstall it to stop the mouse lag.
When I try and find the specific driver to download the file on its own, it won't let me and everything is just super slow.
Not very technical with it all and wondered if anyone could please help me.

Curious adapter failure
long story I will make short:
Bought a reconditioned Elitebook 840 G1 from Walmart with a generic power adapter cord
used the computer for 18 months without a problem
my battery went dead and wouldn't charge
i bought a new battery
it went dead and wouldn't charge
the computer still runs fine when plugged in
i examined the adapter cord for any problems or damage - looked fine and was powering the computer
new battery went dead - doesn't charge when plugged in
I bought a new computer (Elitebook 840 G2 with touchscreen)
Since the cords are interchangable, I had the G2 plugged into the old adapter cord and its battery would not charge
plugged G2 new cord into old old G1 with old battery - and it charges the battery!
Therefore: the old cord has a defect, while still able to run power to the computer.
Anyone run into this before? Now I have two computers and I'm out $375.
