Hello. I have question about upgrading RAM on notebook. I want to add 8GB stick of ram to the installed 4Gb one.
As I heard on internet, 8+4Gb RAM can work OK, if motherboard support 8Gb RAM sticks.
CPU-Z on mainboard information give me this information:
HP 1844 56.32
Chipset: Intel Sandy Bridge Rev/ 09
Southbridge: Intel HM76 Rev. 04
But I do not understand where I can find information,
does my motherboard support 8GB of RAM, or 8+4=12Gb in Total.
Where I can find out this?
I own this laptop for 8 months now but three months later I've noticed one loose screw on the bottom case right corner
..but first, I ignored it, then, unfortunately, I found that the screw just fallout and it is missing now !!
I don't know what the type of this screw or the type of the screwdriver!
does this screw issue is included the warranty?
if not where can I buy a replacement screw?
I noticed Rattling noise within my laptop while shaking
note: my laptop is just 8 months of use and I noticed this sounds after I bought

I just bought a 13 inch HP Spectre x360 diamond cut. Battery barely lasts 6 hours on Battery saver mode and simple browsing. Nowhere close to the 22 hours claimed on the hp website (see below). I would be happy with half of the 22 hour claim. Is there an issue with the motherboard? Are there any recalls? Core i7 8565U 1.80 - 1.99GHZ 16GD Ram 512GB SSD Product ID 00330-80861-90754-AA935. AL OS and BIOS patched to the latest with Windows update and HP Support assistant. BIOS F.22.

-Did you find a way to get them delivered from partsurfer shop or source elsewhere?
- Did you need to buy Left & Right & Cable ?
- Any tips on getting the case open, I took a look at it and it seemed to be very hard to release around the hinges and it also felt like there was a fixing near the centre of the case? (I just removed the 3 visible screws from the underside of the case and gently prised open the case)
Every time I close my laptop while it is plugged in, it charges perfectly fine. However, whenever I open the laptop it doesn't seem to register the charger at all! I've gotten a brand new battery and no change. I have also tried uninstalling and reinstalling the ACPI-complaint driver.

My Battery has stopped working. The computer works when plugged in only. Battery is not detected. was fine one day and the next it stopped. I have look online alot and followed instructions to see if it works and nothing has helped. I think I need a replacement battery. I looked on HP store and typed in the battery required and it says "this battery is not available yet".
Why would it not be available yet? I bought the laptop just over 3 years ago so not syre why it wouldn't be available yet, unless they mean it is not available any more, but not sure how HP can stop selling a battery when it would clearly be needed for one of their products. I am not sure where to look for a new battery that would be a legit source.

The hard drive on my Envy 15m-BP112DX died and HP wants to charge $400-600 to replace it (it's only just over a year old). I've found the replacement drive that I can buy for $67 and also found an ifixit tutorial that is for a very similar laptop and looks fairly simple considering that I've built and upgraded computers before.

My questions are. First, will that tutorial above work for my laptop? And second, once I get it installed will I be able to get the copy of Windows that came with the laptop to install on it? HP tech support seemed to imply that they have a download that I could install from a flash drive.
I need to replace a hard drive that is going bad with a reasonably priced SSD or good hard drive. I reached out to HP but as usual, they want to leave it up the community to provide expert advice (SOMETHING THEY SHOULD BE DOING). Can someone, obviously not reaping the rewards of an HP paycheck do HP's job for them and recommend a replacement drive (weblink, exact model, etc.)?
