Hp Star Wars Limited Edition laptop 15-an001na

I'm trying to upgrade the memory in my Hp Star Wars Laptop AN001NA:
Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-6200U CPU @ 2.30GHz
6GB 2GB SK Hynix 1600MHz / 4GB Micron 1600MHz
80A4 91.1E
Windows 10 Home 64-bit
I have recently bought a 16GB Corsair Vengeance CMSX16GX3M2A1600C10 Kit which when installed doesnt boot and the caps lock flashes 3 times & 2 times which indicates hardware/memory. I've tried the modules individually in each slot and same result but boots fine with factory memory (2gb & 4gb)
The Service guide advises :
Two SODIMM slots - NON customer accessible / upgradeable DDR3L-1600 Dual Channel Support
Supports up to 16 GB of system RAM in the following configurations ● 16384-MB total system memory (8192×2)
I've checked the factory 6GB memory and it's running at 1.35v but the corsair runs at 1.5v. Any ideas if this laptop supports both 1.35v & 1.5v?
The memory was working before being pulled from another laptop so i don't 'think' that's the issue but just trying to rule out everything.
Apologies if i've missed a thread covering this, i have tried to search using different keywords.
Any help appreciated.

corrupted BIOS on HP Pavilion 11-k117cl
I flashed the latest BIOS update, but it somehow corrupted my system, a Pavilion 11-k117cl (x360 convertible). I tried all the recommendations, such as Win + B, USB with BIOS recovery files installed,etc. No luck. On caps lock, I get 2 slow blinks followed by 2 fast ones, and somewhere (can't find it now), it said that meant corrupted BIOS.
I'm not sure about where the BIOS is stored for this laptop. Most descriptions for laptops mention a BIOS chip on the motherboard. But I read another comment that said this one might have it in the RTC or CMOS battery. That doesn't sound right. But I wanted to ask before I go buy a motherboard (and try to replace it myself) or get it repaired. If it's a chip on the motherboard, I'm not equipped to do any removal/replacement/soldering of the chip, so I think another motherboard is the best bet. If it's the RTC, that looks like a small part that might be easy to replace. So the question is:
1. Do I need a motherboard or RTC battery?
Another question about motherboards. The motherboard model number for this laptop is 827663-xxx, where xxx is either 001 or 601. The maintenance document says 601 is for a Windows 10 operating system, while 001 is for a non-Windows operating system. Can someone tell me the difference in these 2 motherboards? Is is just a difference in the BIOS? And does that mean that the 001 motherboard would not work on a Windows 10 laptop? So the question is:
2. Can someone explain the difference in the 001 and 601 motherboards? And will 001 fail on this Windows 10 laptop?

Windows Fall update HP Pavilion 11 x2 Notebook PC
Hello,
I am wondering if someone will be able to tell me if i can possibly install the lateset windows 10 fall 1709 update on my HP Pavilion 11x2 Notebook PC.
i have tried to download and install this numerous times but it freezes installing at 41% every time.
i have checked the compatibility list and cannot see my model, however i am unsure if i have missed it or if there is a way round this?

i bought a stylus pen 
( HP Pen) for my pavilion x360, problem is that its not connecting with my laptop. it wont come on even if im tapping my screen. im confused do i need a software for it to work? or buy another because i regret buying hp products now... please help or do i need more explaing?

HP 15 Notebook Not Compatible With Windows 10 Fall Creators Update
Hello everyone! I have an HP 15-g020dx Notebook PC. For months I've been trying to update to the Windows 10 Fall Creators Update but it has failed (always at 85%) every time I've tried to update. I've contacted the Microsoft Support numerous times to try to get the issue resolved but to no avail. It wasn't until recently when one of the support agents finally released the root of the problem: My PC wasn't compatible with the update (despite while trying while trying to a clean boot, the test came up as compatible). The Microsoft Support Agent said I'd have to wait for HP to either release updates for the drivers so the update will now be compatible or try to do another clean boot but by wiping my entire computer. I currently can't do the latter option as I need to backup my laptop and my editing software was installed via a disc and I currently don't have access to the disc right now. My question is that is there anything I could do aside from the two options I was given? Microsoft will stop supporting the version of Windows 10 (1607) my laptop is running on April 10th. Thank you for your help!

Eject no longer works on optical drive and programs do not read or write with drive
Optical Drive No Longer Functions:
1. The physical eject button no longer works and from the beginning the button did not always cause an eject on the first or second push.
2. Also an eject command no longer works, although it used to work perfectly every time.
3. Programs are not able to read from disks in drive nor write to them. In fact often a message says that there is no medium in the drive - or - replace the disk with a proper/compatible type of disk.

I suspect the drive is in some way damaged and will need replacement.

Realtek PCIE Card Reader driver
Hi! As many others have noted I have been unable to update my HP Laptop (Pavilion DV6 6c53cl with an internal Realtek PCIE Card Reader to the latest version of Windows 10 (v1709).
About 16% throuth the installation, I get a dialog box telling me to manually remove the Realtek PCIE card reader driver, which I've done using the Programs and Features function in the Control Panel. The MS update installer refuses to recognize that I've done that. Can you steer me to a driver that is compatible with the Windows 10 update 1709?

Does my USB-C Port support video transmission + Alternate Mode?
Hi there,
I'm trying to connect a second monitor using VGA via an USB-C Dongle. However, my second monitor is blank. My computer doesn't register that a monitor is connected.
I know that my USB-C Port has DisplayPort 1.2, but I'm wondering, is that enough to allow for video transmission from my USB-C Port? Does my USB-C Port support Alternate Mode, or able to transmit video?

Card reader speed degraded in a new Notebook (2017).
I am a fan of HP and I already have 4 HP products. HP have a world level customer service, which is of utmost importance nowadays. Once I made the mistake to buy another brand notebook and I was sorry - I'll never repeat this mistake.
A week ago I bought HP Notebook - 17g-br100tx and I am very satisfied with it. However putting it to the test I was surprised to find out that the speed of the SD card reader is much slower (more than 2 times) than the card reader of my 7-year old HP Pavilion dv6-7025tx Entertainment Notebook PC. I know that its on the USB 3 bus, so the new computer's card reader must be USB 2.0. The speeds according to Crystal Disk Mark 6 are Seq. Read 29.65 vs the old model with 77.91. Write speeds are 26.87 vs 42.31 respectively.
I'm purely curious, but in no way troubled by this fact.

Laptop shuts down while the battery is not low and it has a strange behaviour while plugged in
Since last month my laptop (HP Notebook - 15-ac195nl (ENERGY STAR)) has some issues with the battery:
1) If the AC adapter is plugged in and the battery is inserted, then the laptop keeps switching between "plugged in" (charging) and "on battery" (not charging). If I try to remove the battery, the laptop works just fine, saying that it is plugged in. This problem appears quite randomly, not everytime I use my laptop, and I noticed that when it happens, if I just wait, it disappear (the laptop starts charging normally): hence I suppose that this is related with the "low" level of the battery.
2) If I use the laptop with the AC adapter NOT plugged in, then it shuts down very quickly even if the battery isn't low. If I restart it and plug the AC adapter in, I can see that the battery level is around 60-70% (and it begins to switch from charging and not charging). After a while the battery level is 90-100% and everything is normal again.
I tried to solve the problem running the battery test from HP PC Hardware Diagnostic Windows, but it says that the battery is ok.
What can I do?
