OMEN command center button
Hi! Isn't working OMEN command center button on a keyboard

Hard drive failure
When the computer was turned on I received the error message: the selected boot device failed. Press enter to continue. When I press enter the computer shuts down. I tested the hard drive. The short test past. The long test gave the following failure ID: UCQ779-87592X-XD7X7G-61CT03
I have tried enabling the legacy support. This only resulted in the error message: no bootable device - insert boot disk and press any key. I do not think I have a boot disk. Is this something I would have received when purchasing the computer?

compaq presario cq61 cap numlock blinking
I got a compaq presario cq61 from ebay. I guy told me that it will post but then it just blinks the cap lock and number lock. He told me he thinks it maybe i bios probelm. Is there any way to reinstall the bios so it will work right. Like some kind of key combo you would hit to go into a bios update mold. He thinks someone tried to update the bios and it shutdown before it finsh updating. Well thanks for the help.

3rd party Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) docking station issues
Hello,
I have purchased a new 8th generation HP Spectre X360 15" with Thunderbolt 3. My intent was to be able to use a 3rd party docking station connected via TB3 to provide connectivity for my office devices via a single connection and charging as well. The unit is capable of providing an adequate charge. However, when connecting it on a partial charge I get a looping of sorts with the splash message "HP recommends using an original power adapter". When I fully charge the laptop however, everything works fine. The docking station performs as expected and maintains the charge with no messages displayed. All my research leads me to believe this has something to do with DRM on the USB Type-C port as has been the case with prior units produced by HP but some models have received BIOS updates to remove this restriction.
Can anyone confirm this is the case with the new 2018 HP Spectre X360 15"? It's highly annoying because I don't prefer any of the HP docking stations as their power configuration is inadequate. I should be able to use any docking station I prefer anyhow. I've successfully removed the splash message by uninstalling the HP quicklaunch utility. However this doesn't correct the erratic behavior caused by connecting the docking station on a partial charge.

Laptop key issues; certain key combos do different things instead of working?
These keys no longer work; left shift, z, x, c, v, m, and spacebar.
As you might notice, its basically the bottom area of the keyboard minus b and n, which still work for some reason. Comma (,), period (.), slash (/) and Right shift also work perfect.
I have no clue why but I suspect I may have entered some specific key combos to lock these keys/remap them?
The keys still seem to be functional in some form though because when I press "cvb" all at the same time, Windows help toggle ALWAYS opens up (b key still is typeable solo/working fine, c and v keys cannot regularly output "c" and "v"ASCII anymore, but work in the exact combo "cbv" everytime to open up help toggle button).
F1 on my HP laptop defaults to this Windows help button every time originally (it still does now as well, along with "cbv") so I assume I might've messed up something with Fn lock?
Another working combo is "znm", which toggles caps lock... (n works solo, z and m cannot type but work every time in the "znm" combo to toggle caps lock).
The final working combo I've found, just like the two other ones is "xnm" which toggles sound up. On my laptop specifically, sound up is on the F8 key. Pressing F8 Normally puts sound up, but now so does "xnm" (n works solo, x and m cannot type but work every time in the "xnm" combo to toggle sound up/F8)....
Things I've already tried:
1. Uninstalling keyboard driver, then rebooting -> no changes
2. System restore point back to 2 weeks ago -> no changes
3. Going into BIOS to disable Fn lock, then reboot -> no changes, so I re-enabled it (again, no changes)
4. Going into BIOS and pressing F9 to Restore Setup Defaults, saved changes, then boot -> no changes
5. Flat spamming keyboard to see if I'd accidentally activated some weird sleeper agent key remap through Fn -> no changes
Any help is so much appreciated...

The battery Problem
The battery isnt vharging to 100%. The white light comes on in place of the red and it stops charging @ 85% .
Its a brand new laptop. Have been using from 1week.
Would be **bleep** helpfull if someone assists me on this.

Hard drive failure
Ipurchased this notebook on 4/18/16 and the hard drive has failed. since it not under warrenty I had the hard drive replaced. now it says updates need to be done but it can not do up dates until I contact support. why is that? very unhappy hard drive didn't even last 2 years... computer repair person said this is common with HP model. Last HP I will buy, will go on to different brand.

Replacing the HDD
Hi there everyone,
I've recently managed to dig-up my old HP Pavilion G6.
I had it run through a primary hard disk check, But it came across a (303) error almost immediately upon testing. I gather that my hard drive has been damaged as of such and wanted to replace it ASAP with an SSD.
However, I have no idea whether my SSD would be able to be mounted and have managed to find no information on whether it would be compatible.
The SSD is a LaCie Mobile at 160GB (https://us.hardware.info/product/10723/lacie-mobile-disk-160gb/specifications)

Hp Spectre x360 battery drains when computer is off
When the notebook is off (and of course unplugged), the battery depletes completely in 5-6 days (it looses about 15% of its capacity each day).
I noticed this behavior when I bought the laptop (in Nov 2016), but it didn't bother me at that time because I used the computer on battery during the day, and recharged the battery overnight. I also naively thought a solution would be found, and I'm now surprised to find this isn't the case.
However now my work and habits have changed, and when I'm on the road, even if I use the computer for a few minutes per day I need to bring the charger and find where to plug it, otherwise the Spectre x360 is just unusable because of the battery drain.
The BIOS and drivers are all up to date. As many other customers have already noticed, this drain issue has never been solved by updating BIOS and drivers.
I have been a Dell customer for the past 15 years and this is my first HP notebook. I must say that other than this drain issue, I'm rather happy with the performance of the Spectre x-360. However, unless the HP Customer Service solves the issue (and free of charge -- the warranty has expired, but the problem is well-documented), this first HP notebook I bought will very certainly be the last.

Laptop wont turn on or charge?
Basically ive been gone for almost a week and as soon as I returned i attempted to turn on my laptop. None of the lights turned on. It wasnt charging and i heard no fans etc. It was working perfectly fine before i left... Any ideas???
