i want to add a ssd to the laptop as it has a very slow startup.
what is the best ssd to add, ideally i would like the samsung 970 evo plus but i cannot find what expasnsion is in the laptop.
crucial has a slower ssd.
Will this laptop take v-nand ssd or nvme.
your help would be appreciated. this was purchased in the uk if this helps with the build.

I Need a replacement battery for my OMEN laptop, but I searched the HP parts store & there were no batteries there. Where else can I buy a new battery that is reliable? I want to make sure I buy the correct battery for my model and that it works.

I have an HP Pavilion, am logged into the HP web site and have tried several times to search for a battery. It's coming up that one is not available. My laptop is only a few years old. Is this planned obsolescence? It's been a time suck.
Laptop keeps telling me I need a new battery.
HP battery check says my battery is "OK."
Battery does not run for more than 45 mins to 1 hour.
Even the guy at the repair shop could not find the part for me.

Hello, I have an HP Pavilion dv6t-6c00 laptop from 2012. It currently has two 4gb sticks of RAM that I would like to upgrade to two 8gb sticks of RAM to increase performance. That is simple enough and I know how to do that but I also would like to upgrade the original HDD in the laptop to an SSD storage because simple things like opening applications like the internet and games has gotten very slow over the past few years. I believe I know how to do this but I am unsure how to configure my laptop to work with the new SSD and am unsure what to do with my computer before upgrading it with my files and whatnot so my computer does not get wiped.
If anyone could provide my with product numbers or even links to the products on Amazon that I should buy (the RAM and the SSD) that would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, I get confused after I read the laptop manual,
so I would like to know which kind of ssd drive my laptop supports (M2 PCIe gen.3or4 , M2 SATA 3 or NVME) ???
I have no idea which one should I buy...
I only use the laptop for web browsing, videos, MS Office and the odd game, On the specifications page it say's "Up to 15 hours and 30 minutes". I'm getting no where near that only 4 hrs, even with battery saver on, low screen brightness, Nvidia set to integrated graphics. I have the FHD model (1920x1080).
Any ideas why?

I'm no stranger to disassembling desktops and laptops but many of my experiences have been with computers from the 90s/00s. Unfortunately the laptop started having overheating issues right after the warranty expired. A computer repair shop determined that they couldn't fix it, and they returned it with the hard drive separate so I could recover my files. I would like to take a look inside but am having difficulty.
I've removed the battery and all of the screws. It appears that the palmrest pops off the top and I can start this process with a guitar pick but something is holding it down. I suspect there may be a screw or something else at fault under the corner covers. I've never had to deal with corner covers like this before and can't find any videos for this model.
Can someone please provide me with a service manual, disassembly video, and/or tips for removing the corner covers? Thanks!

I can only use my laptop through Second display or remote display, neither of which are accessible now because since I enabled safe mode through msconfig cmd, it has disabled all network adaptors ( at least the ones I use to remotely connect to my laptop) I tried hard resetting it with the removable battery and I don't seem to have changed the adapters status, or the light on my wifi key is orange(off) not blue,(on).

I have 2 keys, " and ^, that do not display on first tap and then display "" and ^^ on second tap.
Anyone encountered this? Is there a fix alternative to rep[lacing keyboard?

I have this chromebook, and I have a ssd to install. Page 32 of the manual implies that a Hard Drive Hardware Kit is required for something as it reads; "NOTE: The hard drive spare part kit does not include the hard drive cable, or hard drive bracket and screws." but it isn't very explicit. It also includes this chart which isn't very explicit.

I purchased this 2-in-1 laptop for my child in part because it has an RGB keyboard (per the Best Buy website). How is the color of the backlit keyboard changed? I've tried HP and BB Chat services without getting an answer. Is the Best Buy website mistaken?

I have had my laptop for 8 months and the left hinge is broken.
I opened my laptop today and I heard a cracking noise.
The screen is not damaged but the plastic cover is popping open and I can't open it all the way.
I keep my laptop in a case when I am not using it and I am very careful with it and it always stays in my room.
I don't open and shut it all the time.
I was following the upgrading memory instructions provided on HP support website (see this). The problem I am facing is that the specification page for my model does not contain any Memory Upgrade Information. Can someone help me with this?
Specifically, I need to know the best available RAM I can buy for my laptop.

I bought three USB C - Hubs with HDMI port. None of the HDMI port is working, all other ports on the hub are working. Is there an issue with this model of Laptop HP Laptop 15-dy1018ca? I tried a clean re-install still same issue. All USB C hubs reporting the same issue.
