HP Pavilion x360 13-s128nr Keyboard Replacement
Hello,
Long story short, I accidentally spilled a good amount of Mountain Dew on the right half of the keyboard and it still functions most of the time, but it is sticky beyond belief. Is there any way to clean the keyboard or get a keyboard replacement? I just got off the chat service with HP and they were charging me $299.99 to fix it which is a ludicrous deal. I am considering self-repair at this point.

EliteBook 8440p failed 8GB RAM upgrade
I have EliteBook 8440p with i7 M620 4GB RAM and WIndows 7 64bit installed.
I wanted to upgrade my RAM to 8GB as suggested here and bought 2x4GB RAM of:
KINGSTON ValueRAM 4GB DDR3-1333 (PC3-10600) SDRAM-DDR3 1,5 Volt CL9-9-9 204pin
I replaced the 2GB card at the back of the laptop with the 4GB Kingston and when I started the windows:
- The BIOS showed 6GB RAM
- But the Windows startup blocked, staying at the black screen with "Windows starting" without the colorful dots forming into a window.
I tried restarting, but no change.
Any idea what can I try out to fix this issue or upgrade to 8GB?

Boot device not found and hdd not found
I have had my laptop for 2 years and has been broke for nearly a year! The screen comes up with "boot device not found, install operating system". So I bought a system recovery disk, and I went through the steps. But, it comes up with "HDD NOT FOUND". I have checked the hard drive and everything inside the computer!!!! HELPPP

CD-DVD Drive not working for data CDs
The CD-DVD drive on my Pavilion HDX9300 entertainmnet series laptop (aka Dragon) is not able to read data CDs.
When a CD containing data is in the drive, it interprets the CD as blank/empty and prompts to format it. This happens even when the data CD is one that was previously created on this machine.
It works fine for music CDs. When CD containing music is in the drive, it opens the file and plays the music.
I am thinking that it maybe a driver issue and I shoulod locate and download a driver update.
I was not able to finde drivers for Pavilion HDX9300 on the HP support site. When I search on Pavilion HDX9300, the results do not list Pavilion HDX9300. They doe howver have related models, Pavilion HDX93xx.

Lexar CFR1 continuously disconnecting and reconnecting
Hi
I'm connecting a Lexar CFR1 Compact Flash card reader to the USB 3.0 port on the right side of a HP ENVY Notebook - 17-r107na.
This card reader is continiously connecting and disconnecting from the Laptop, this happens every 5-10 seconds.
I've tried all USB ports on the Laptop and the card reader behaves the same way.
I know the card reader works fine on another PC.
I know another USB 3.0 device, a WD My Passport Ultra works fine on the laptop and I can copy files to and from it.
Please help me solve this, I really need for this to work as I need to transfer files from my DSLR.

Hi, I've got HP 650 g1, and when I opened the bottom board, i've seen the processor, but i didn't found the amd graphics card. When the laptop is running, both graphics cards (HD graphics 4600 and AMD Radeon) are working. So my question is, where is dedicated graphics card in this laptop?

I'm in the PC support business. I have had an exceptional number of early failures ( but weeks out of warranty) of Toshiba 2.5" laptop drives in ENVY and Pavilion model laptops. Is there a way to specify Western Digital drives when assisting customers with ordering HP laptops?

HP Envy 13 hot to touch and noise from cooling fan
I purchased a HP Envy 13 laptop in January 2016 with a Windows 10 operating system. It has always been hot to touch at the top part of the keyboard by the on/off button but today has started with a whirring sound that I am assuming is the cooling fan.
Please can you let me know what I need to do about this.

Battery plugged in, not charging
Hi
I recently updated my laptop and now I have got a battery problem. The charger is plugged in but it says not charging. However, the laptop continues to work perfectly fine even though the battery indicator shows 8% remaining. But as soon as I remove the charger, low battery alert pops up. Does not charge even when shut down.

801505-501 main board compatability.

I recently purchased a HP Spectre x360 Model: 13-4014tu. It is an i7 model with a 5500U and 8GB ram.
I purchased itsecond hand and it is out of warranty. I will have to pay out of my pocket to fix it.
The problem is:
There was a lightning storm and the laptop was plugged into the wall socket being charged. Lightning stuck close by and my laptop turned off and will not turn back on again. I took it to a laptop repair shop to be diagnosed and they found that 6 resistors had blown and they are too tiny to solder by hand, meaning I need to replace the entire main board.
I have the part number for my mainboard and it is HP part number: 801505-501.
I have found a replacement on eBay and it is an entire mainboard with fan and heatsink with the same specs i7 5500U and 8gb ram and with the same part number 801505-501. The problem is that it is pulled from a 13-4003DX model spectre x360 and mine is a 13-4014tu. What would be the difference and would the mainboard from the 13-4003DX be compatable if I swapped it into my laptop?
I am in Australia. The 13-4014tu could be an Australian delivered model and the 13-4003DX seems to be American. Would they just be the same model, just released in different countries?
