I have a probook 4430 sitting on my desk and whenever I shut down the notebook just boots itself back up. It will power itself on when you insert the battery and also if you do get it to fully shut down and remove the power coord then it boots itself back on(with battery ofcourse). There were no hardware/software changes. I have double checked my connections to the board and everything appears in order. I changed out the power/wifi button assembly as well as the DC power jack also. Any suggestions would be much welcomed I'm banging my head against the wall here.

Noise from power supply area top left of keyboard HP Pavilion 15p158sa
Annoying noise on a Pavilion 15p158sa - coming from top left corner of keyboard -- a creaking noise and vibration, in bursts, on turning on, and again over time. Opened the case and it seems to come from the power supply area, not the fan. Doesnt seem to coincide with programs loading or disc drive activity. HP helpdesk suggest a problem with fluctuations in the AC plug supply (it seemed to quieten down, but not completely, under battery power). They have offered a new power adapter under the warranty agreement, but the noise seems to come from under the keyboard cover, inside the machine, not from the external wire. It is periodic, and sometimes seems to quieten, but is annoying to hear only 4 months after purchase. Hopefully will go away, but if continuing when the new wire is attached, guess it might be worth sending back for repair. Everything else is working fine. Interested in any thoughts or similar experience...

HP Envy M6 hinge
Left hinge/cover loose; the screen assemby seems unstable. This laptop was a graduation purchase/gift 2 years ago and works fabulously. I am just concerned that the hinge and cover will detach from the laptop. As a student, it is hard for me to be without my laptop or to be saddled with a high repair. This seems to be a common problem; can it/will it be fixed by HP?

Battery not charging- new battery
Recently my laptop advised me to buy a replacement battery for it as it was unable to run without the charger plugged in.
I have bought the replacement battery, this is the advised one but is a 12 cell instead of the previous 6 cell.
Now I have swapped the battery over it won't charge. The laptop doesn't seem to acknowledge the charger is plugged in. The charger wire was working perfectly before the new battery so not sure what the problem is. Please help.

D: drive and touchpad not working
My lap top was working fine then suddenly the screen component seemed to disconnect from the keyboard and the touchpad stopped working. All keys on the keyboard now work but the touchpad does not work whatsoever, and now when i go to my computer the D: drive is missing. i have tried to resolve the issue through disk management but the D: drive is not showing there at all.

RAM upgrade for HP Pavilion 15-P203AU
I'm looking at this for general use, but also for some video editing.
The specifications I've seen indicate a maximum RAM of 4 GB, while the salesman claims this can be increased to 8 GB.
Is that correct and would it be an appropriate change for that purpose?

Envy 17 battery only charges when switched off
The battery of the laptop only charges when switched off. As soon as the laptop is switched on there's the message that teh battery is not charging.
I performed the HP battery test a few times and when the laptop is working on battery power, the test give the result that the battery is OK. When you perform the same test when the AC charges is plugged in, the test give as result that the battery needs to be replaced ???

Extremely High Internal Temperatures
Hello,
Recently my computer has begun to overheat more than usual, so I downloaded Speccy to look at the internal temperatures of the computer. My CPU is running at 95 degrees celsius to 105 degrees celsius, just when I am using the computer normally- right now it is at 103 degrees when all I have open is Google Chrome and Word and I just turned the computer on 15 minutes ago. I tried vaccuming out all of the vents to get any dust out that is in them, but that did not do anything to change the temperatures. The motherboard and graphics are hovering around 47 degrees and the storage is around 36 degrees. Surprisingly, the computer doesn't actually feel that hot right now, but it does start to heat up after a while.
Yesterday I changed the maximum processor state in the Power Processor Management area down to 90%, as I read a number of places that this could help to lower internal temperatures. I also looked to see if I needed to update my BIOS, as this had also been suggested. I couldn't find an available update for that system. I checked to see that HP CoolSense is working, and it is. I'm not sure what else I can do to fix this problem, but I'm pretty sure it isn't good for the computer to be running at these temperatures. How else can I keep it from reaching these high temperatures?

Automatic Restart after Shutdown Command
Dear Friends, some days ago a reasonable amount of water falls on the front left portion of laptop keyboard. After that some sounds of short circuit sparks ... haha ... Thank God that the laptop survives this incident but with many side-affects. When it is commanded to shutdown, it restarts. Can you please suggest any solution to this problem?

ZBook 15 Q,W,E,R,T Keys not work
I am having issues with these keys not working properly (Q,W,E,R,T), nothing happens when I press them. I uninstalled the driver, replaced the keyboard which did not resolve the issue. I don't have any other keyboard options installed.
Battery removed, unplugged and held down the power button for 30 seconds.
Nothing works...I will upgrade the BIOS and then rollback to a prior restore point. If this doenst fix it then I will do a fresh install of Windows 7.
The laptop worked fine for 9 months. ANy thoughts on how to resolve before I go nuclear?

Charging (or recharging) my laptop
I rec'd a new HP laptop as a gift. It came with no instructions and I am not computer literate. I plugged in the charger and started browsing my new computer. After a few hours I realized I was going to need someone to help me set things up so I shut down the computer and unplugged the charger. Now I've read that I should have charged the battery for at least 24 hours before use which I didn't do. Is there anyway to start the process over because it seems that the battery does not hold a charge very long. Thanks in advance. Susan

The touchpad of my three months old hp probook 450 G1 has stopped working. i have updated its driver with the latest sypnatic driver but the problem still pends. it still doesnt work even if i uninstall the sypnatic driver. i think its a hardware problem. what should i do. please help. thank you

broken hinge
My laptop right hinge is broken and it is hard to open and close and backer at screen is popping up at corner
I would like to know is there any legal possibility to fix it without warranty because problem is getting worse and compromise normal functioning of laptop. Recently i don't close screen/cover at all in order not to make biger damage.
