My HP Spectre is not charging. I've had it for almost 2 years and have had no problems with it. Then 2 days ago I charged it overnight and when I took it school the next day it only had half of its battery life (it didn't charge at all). When I got home I tried charging it again and nothing happened when I plugged it in - the charging light didn't turn on and it didn't say it was charging. I thought it was the charger (AC adapter) so I bought a new one that came today, but it still won't charge with the brand new one. When I first plugged in the new charger, the LED light flickered for a second, and then nothing else. Naturally, the laptop died after the first day without charging, so I can't turn it on to run any tests or anything. I need this laptop badly since I am a computer science student and had various software and files on it. I've seen other people have this issue and from what I've read it seems like it may be the motherboard... Is this true? What do I do next?
