My mousepad does not have the orange light on and it doesnt work at all. A wirless and wired mouse works however the pad does not work with or without them connected. Could it be shut off somewhere that I'm not seeing? Any help is appreciated thanks!

wireless mouse works, but not recognised by windows, device malfunctions leads to blue screen
Hi, I have a few issues. The touchpad and left/right buttons dont work. So I got a wired mouse and that was fine until I got te bluescreen, got a wireless mouse and same thing, it comes under device manager as usb composite device. I have tried various methods of updating drivers, i have the latest drivers installed for synaptics touchpad device and all usb yet still not being recognised. But as I said the wireless mouse works fine, as did the wired. The only thing that I can think of that it may be, is that I have windows updates turned off. When I turn these on, it just hangs for hours on end saying checking for updates, as well as taking up lots of system resources leaving me with barely any available ram. If it wasnt for the bluescreen occuring twice a day then I wouldnt mind, as the mouse works fine I dont need the touchpad. But I'm at my wits end trying to resolve this. Hp support assistant doesnt seem to think there are drivers missing, but I know somethings not right. Also the wireless mouse only works in 1 of the 3 usb ports. Really need some help with this.

non receipt of free gift offered at the tie of purchase of HP laptop
I had purcased a HP Laptop 15-AU009TX from HP World, TRICHY, Invoice no SI-T-749 on 25/07/2016 and was offered 1GB external hard disk, Head phones and extended warranty by paying additional Rs 298/- whcihg i have paid on 15/08/2016 to Razor fish gift redemtion support (ref code : 90221288) But till date i have not received External hard disk nor the head phoen which is very strange. Does it take three months for delivering the same by a reputed company as HP or is it cheting the customer. If I do not get the reply or delivery in one week I shall be taqking up the matter with the consumer forum and publish in news paper and other social media. Please do the needful at the earliest,

Keyboard Not Working
I bought the tablet a couple of weeks ago and the camera did not work and the shop that supplied it reset the Windows 10 Installation which made the camera work breifly for a few days after which it expired permanently.
I have now got a replacement unit but cannot get the Keyboard/Dock to work at all.
The EUFI Hardware Troubleshooter shows an error code of 9BQBTL-88B88C-MFGK7F-G02E03 but googling this produces no results.
Any ideas

Battery level doesn't increase
Laptop is plugged in however the battery level doesn't increase, even when the laptop is turned off. I already tried a new battery and a different charger, I already tried uninstall and update battery drivers, update the bios, update the Windows 7 and nothing worked.
I would like to try all possibilities before send the laptop to someone else try a repair.

New HP 14-r001np without cpu fan !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hello everyone ....
i am new here and i just want ask somthing about a notebook of my friend
so the notebook is 14-r001np its working well and i just open it because it has ( small ball ) of seal anti humidity which close the audio jack power
i open it as well and its the first time we open it so it does open before
but i get surprised that it has no CPU FAN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
despite they make its place but it has no fan and on motherboard there is no connectore where we blug the fan
anyone can explain me this please and what you ad vise to add a fan there or to let it work like that .

My Hp 250 have cursor and power off problem
My Hp 250 just develop a cursor malfunction problem whereby the cursor sometimes does not move over the screen. Also if I turn off the system it doesn't turn off because the blue light on the power button still remains on. What do I do to resolve these problems?

hi, I'm 71 and wanting to buy a new laptop which at my age might be the last one I'll buy. I would like the spec to be as good as I can get with a price limit of £1200. I think I've narrowed it down to two models (Envy 15-as004na and Spectre 15 ap007na). Both are 4K models. Both are approx same size and weight. Apart from the obvious difference of the Spectre being a 2 in 1with tablet mode, I see the main differences as follows
Envy has PCIe M.2 SSD and Spectre has M.2 SSD
Envy has 12GB of DDR4 ram and Spectre has 16GB of DD3 ram
Envy has 52 WH battery and Spectre has 65WH battery
Envy has dual B & O speakers and Spectre has quad B & O speakers
My questions are
1. how much faster will the Envy be in booting up having PCIe SSD?
2. what is difference between DDR3 and DDR4?
3. Can I assume that the larger battery will give better battery life (I'm not sure that I can go by claimed battery life).
4. As most of my listening will be through Bose headphones will there be any difference in sound quality between the 2 and 4 speaker models.
I work quite a lot using Microsoft Office (spreadsheets and databases) but will use the machine most for watching films (Netflix, which gives 4K movies, and Youtube and also Sky Sports using Sky Go.
It does not seem possible for me to go into a shop to try out the computers as they don't appear to stock these computers for demo purposes.

Hi, I have HP Probook 4310s and having problems with graphics card driver. When I install Intel Media Accelerator driver on Windows 1O, reboot and open Microsoft Edge, the driver crashes and system crashes too. Can someone help mee plese?

hp probook 4525s Screen problem
Hi !
I have problem with display on my hp probook 4525s laptop.
When I lift my display and press power button, laptop start up and booting, but there is nothing on the screen. I connected another monitor via VGA cable to make sure laptop is booting up normally and it does.
I shut laptop display and lift it just a little bit, enough ti get my hand to power button. I press the power button, leave the display in that position for 5 seconds, then start to lift it up slowly and display is now working normally. I can now shut the display and lift it up again with no problem, screen will stay on.
Now when the display is finally working I can try to restart it... On restart the display is not working again and I didn't change position of the screen.
Is there any magnetic sensor of some sort which tell's my laptop to start display or something like that ?
I tried changing my display and display cable but no luck so far.

Cooling my HP Omen
I am currently waiting for my Hp Omen laptop that packs an I7-6700hq and gtx 1070. I read that the cooling system for HP omen is terrible. Now knowing that my graphics card is a gtx 1070, how can I maintain playing for 5-6 hrs with high settings without turning my gaming laptop into a fryer? If it cant maintain a good temp then I might just consider cancelling the order and find a new laptop.

How do I get files off a failing HDD? (Hard Disk 1 3F1 Error)
Recently a family member's HP Pavilion dv7 wouldn't allow him to start it because of a Hard Disk 1 3F1 error, and when I tried to scan the hard disk it would always give me a Hard Disk 1 Quick (303) error code, and never finish the full scan. I checked system information and it doesn't give me any information about his hard drive. I heard you could use a cord to transfer data off the HDD using a cable, but you have to have the specific HDD's type. Is there anyway of saving the data on the HDD?

Scrollbar does not work
Hi! I have an HP pavilion dv5-1080ev and the scrollbar of the touchpad suddenly stopped working. What can I do to make it work again? I tried to press the fn button + scroll button (next to the F12 button) but nothing changed.
