I need 1 hdmi, some USB 2.0/3.0 ports, Gb ethernet and pass-through charging.

 

I purchased a MINIX NEO docking station which would 1) deactivate the charging port on hybernation and 2) not wake on USB input. I contacted the supplier and they said it was not compatible with PC just Macs. Now I've found other suppliers mention incompatibility with HP USB-C ports. There's a USB-C dock available from HP but the product page describes its use with a tablet instead of a laptop.

 

So what dock is advised for this notebook ?

when trying to apply a BIOS update I'm getting a failure to open BIOS signature file.

My laptop gives a remark when starting up that the battery needs to be replaced. However, I do not find back the battery on the HP Parts Store. Can you please inform me wheather the battery can be replaced and/or what type the battery is and where I can buy one. Thx

So I've been looking into the HP X2 range over the last few days and I'm fairly certain I will buy one. However I've come across a LOT of different models, some of which seem to be identical apart from the product number.

 

Pavilion X2 10-n100na with X5-z8300 atom

Pavilion X2 10-k008na with Z3736F atom

Pavilion X2 10-n156na with X5-z8300 atom

Pavilion X2 10-n202na with Z3736F atom

 

I found a few more on top of these 4. So what is the actual difference between all these models? According to the HP specs they're identical apart from processor which begs the question as to why I've come across 3+ different product numbers for seemingly the same tablet.

 

Also I've come across the X2 210 range, which again seems really similar but pricier with no real difference, apart from the 4gb model which is an obvious upgrade.

 

I've also seen an X2 210 model that comes with supposed 7mm 2.5" hard drive which would mean it is upgradeable. Can anyone confirm this?

 

Any clarification between these models would be helpful.

Hi,

 

I have just purchased this, waiting for it to be delivered but I would like to 

expand on the 64Gb SSD storage by utilising the Microsd card slot on the

tablet and the SD card reader in the keyboard.

 

I have looked through the online manuals, maintenance guide, forum etc..

and I have not been able to find the maximum capacity or formats the

machine will accept so I am hoping someone will be able to point me in the

right direction.

Hi

Lately I have been hearing this soft 'ding ding' when i use the pc. I am wondering if anyone can let me know what it is cos i can't find anything or any notification on my tablet... I have my facebook, gmail, google calender on so could not locate what is making that sound.

We have around 530 of these in the company and we are having a repeated number returned to our Support team as the USB ports are failing. The error showing on the Laptops (all hp revolve 810's) is Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed). Its getting to the stage where it is costly to just replace them and we would love to know if anyone has a fix. Once one has failed it wont work on any of our laptops and all the 'usual' fixes are not working.

I just upgraded windows 10 pro 64bit with anniversary update. I was advised by someone to change my windows login to a local password, which I did. Then problems started when I tried to login. So I tried system restore which won't work since ALL restore points were deleted when I updated !!

  I changed back to fingerprint for login but now simplepass won't use the same print as before? It says to use a different finger since that print is already associated with a previous account. 

 How do I get back to my previous account and password vault now?

Guys,I own an HP 15g009ax, (AMD A8 quad core 2ghz,2gb Amd radeon 8500m) currently has 4gigs of ram. I want to know if it i can upgrade ram to 8gb,since it appears to have only one slot for ram.I'm hoping it will improve gaming performance in some newer games like the witcher 3,which currently runs at 12fps.

TL;DR - Does this laptop (HP 15 g 009 ax) support 8gb of ram ?

Please can you tell me what is the maximum possible ram upgrade for my laptop? Some sources say 8gb but this does not seem consistent with others that suggest 12 or 16 for the processor/laptop.

 

Core:

i5 -2430-m @2.40 GHz (dual core)

 

Current Ram 6GB.

I am unable to find information on RAM slots.

While upgrading memeory I busted the ZIF connector for the power button, now having issues getting the laptop to turn on and stay on.  Looking for a motherboard model and part number. Board itself is marked as ZS051 LA-A996P, Rev 4.0.  When searhcing this board produces a list of part numbers, any way to make sure this is what I want before I buy?

Is the laptop original or not ? I cannot see the the same laptop in HP website. So worried about the warranty. 

 

Is the laptop is having a fullHD or HD screen ? because specs mentioned in the amazon is sayaing that it is having 1366x768 but in the picture they are saying that 1080p. Could you please confirm ?

 

Can I replace HDD with SSD in this model ?

 

Also I am a student, am I eligible to get student discount on this laptop ? If yes, how can I claim student discount ?

I recently bought HP Notebook 15-ay020TU and Sony SRS - XB2 Portable speakers. The device do get detected and also gets pair with the laptop which is running on Windows 10, however when I play any music it doesnt play the music with Bluetooth and plays with the laptop speakers.

 

The Sony speakers are working fine when I play music with my Iphone. 

 

Can someone help me out here ?

About three months ago my computer's back left hinge would start to pop out everytime I opened it or closed it. There is that quick sound of it popping open, and the same sound when I close it. I haven't dropped my computer, and I haven't messed with the hinges at all, but it continually does this. Please let me know what I can do about it. If I had known that this would have been a problem, I probably would have chosen a Mac instead.

Just got docking station, D9Y32AA, "2013 UltraSlim Docking Station".

 

Connecting computer seemed to be straightforward and simple enough. Just wondering if there are any hidden capabilities inherent in the device that I might exploit. I am not considered a "power user" though I do use most of the MS Office Apps to include PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel and Word.

 

Also, will turning off the power at the Docking Station keep the computer's internal battery from charging? Is there danger in the battery being damaged by staying connected to the docking station power too long?
