Changing envy 17 motherboard
Hello,
I have the envy 17t k200 , the motherboard is bad , I have been trying to fine a replacement board and I can not find one, I have noticed there are a few replacement boards I can use, I just need to know what boards are my choices , the bad board I have now is the PART NUMBER " 793272-501 " other issue I have the only board I can seem to find that even comes close is the " 782619-501 " Not sure I can use it ,

screen never shuts off (after liquid in laptop)
The screen is always white when the computer is off. If the computer is on, it works fine. This happened after liquid was spilled into the laptop. Everything else seems to be working (I did replace the keyboard). Does anyone know how to diagnose this problem and how to fix it? The only way to turn it off is to remove the power and battery.

450 g3 hard drive bracket & screw
Hey All,
I have a probook 450 g3 that originally came with m.2 ssd only, no mechanical hard drive. I wanted to add a hard drive for secondary storage on the empty spot but there was no mounting bracket or screw provided with it. Where can I buy these parts. HP probook 4510s shutdown every 2 minutes
Hi,
I have a probook 4510s and it keeps shutting down each 2-5 minutes or so. I cleaned the fan and ventilization holes and I am testing it now. CPU temperature is around 35-40 typical for the 2 cores. I updated the bios to the last version too. Howver the problem is as follows:
When it shuts down, I test voltage on the charger output (which should be 20v) and it is ZERO! yes, 0 volts on charger output after it shuts down by itself!
to work again, I unplug it from the AC then re-plug it... there the charger outputs 20v again (open circuit of course)... this is so weird! if it is a heating problem, why the charger behave like this? is this a charger issue? do you recommend buying a cheap charger (because there is no where I can get an original one now)?
one other note: the usb near the cpu (left side) has 2 ports, the one near to me is broken from the inside and when I plug a usb device the whole laptop shuts down! but this is not the cause here as I don't use that port anymore.
another note: I am using a usb keyboard and mouse becuase the original keyboard is broken. Wifi doesn't work at all too.
please help! I need the laptop to be fixed ASAP...!

Does anyone know how to change the hard drive on the pavillion 15-r012na. Having removed the screws from the back, it still won't come off.

Invalidating Warranty
Hello everyone,
yesterday I brought a new HP laptop and I wish to install a SSD with a caddy, replacing the DVD reader.
My question is, if I do this replacement, the warranty will be invalidate? There is only one screw to remove to dislodge the DVD reader, so I don't need to diassemble the whole laptop.

I couldn't Upgrade the OS

I have HP Notebook - 15-ac040tu. I want to upgradne the OS from windows 8.1 to windows 10. But i can't install the OS. I got the following error
windows cannot be installed to this disk. the selected disk has an mbr partition table on efi system, windows can only be installed on gpt disks
I want to fix this without losing any Data. Please tell me the steps to fix this error.

Hard Drive Issue, needing a solution
First off, I'm not sure if the version of Windows being run was 32 bit or 64 bit.
The laptop in question is my mother's, and randomly began becoming unresponsive in the middle of the night. She had not dropped it, and only uses the laptop to browse the internet and play Facebook games.
I went into the startup menu and asked the laptop to run a systems diagnostic. Within two minutes, it told me that the Harddrive Short DST check had failed, giving the code 9SNJ3G-7MP84W-XD7WL1-60T703.
As this is a harddrive issue, I expect that, at the very least, we'll have to replace the harddrive, if not buy another laptop.
The problem is this; the laptop was bought from a Wal-Mart. It was the display model they had out, as it was the last one in stock, and Wal-Mart was unable to locate the box for the laptop at the time of purchase. We have no user manual, and no CDs to reinstall Windows (the laptop had 8.1 at the time of purchase, and we took advantage of the free upgrade to 10 when it was available).
Please let us know our best options. Thank you for your time.
