The right hinge on my laptop is broken. The power supply plug in is already hanging out. It has never been dropped and rarely carried. How do I get it repaired?

hdd seems gone though reports say it is OK
I'm having a problem with my HDD ( Samsung spinpoint m8 st500lm0012 ), lapotop is 3yr
System is running very slow on it, booting is taking to much time.
I've checked it from BIOS diagnostic tool, SeaTools ( extended ) and none error was reported.
Sentinel however reports following
"191 errors occured during data transfer. This may indicate problem of the device or with data/power cables. It is recommended to examine and replace the cables if possible.
At this point, warranty replacement of the disk is not yet possible, only if the health drops further.
It is recommended to examine the log of the disk regularly. All new problems found will be logged there."
When I replaced it with different hdd ( cloned OS ) laptop worked fine.
Also I'm having some errors in event log that are probably related to this
The driver detected a controller error on \Device\Harddisk1\DR1.
A timeout (30000 milliseconds) was reached while waiting for a transaction response from the btwdins service. - and other services too
Is my HDD finished or laptop?
Not sure if it is related but recently I had to replace keyboard , and my battery is also at the end

Which hard drive interface on HP G72t-b00 laptop?
I have an HP G72t-b00 CTO laptop/notebook with a few upgrades that I bought around December 2010. I was considering buying an SSD for it to help with performance (it is still holding up quite well, but I'd like extra performance for one key task). I read online somewhere (not necessarily reputable) that the HP-G72 uses the Serial ATA-150 interface for hard drives, which from my understanding has a maximum speed of 150Mb/s, which is about 18-19MB/s. I know the laptop is old, but that tech dates back to 2003 or so, and the SATA standard had many improvements before 2010. It would be extremely surprising to me if HP chose to use it.
So... Does anyone know which Hard Drive interface the HP G72t-b00 uses?

Stream Notebook SDD
I bought this computer in May 2015 but very quickly the SSD card became full with ONLY windows updates! Have reset recently, within a week the SDD was nealy full. I have also been on the chat line and the technician could not free anymore space. It seems there is a design fault and the computer, not designed to accept windows 8.1 updates as well as any other software! There are no personal files on the computer! Currently the computer is being renderd useless as the moemory of the SSD can´t cope with windows updates! What is HP doing about this? Needs to increase the memory of SSD cards!

Keyboards keys removal
Hi,
I spilled a little juice and a few keys aren't working properly. They move with slight resistance, as if the sugar glued them.

HP dv7 6199us Upgrade to USB 3.0
Hey,
I have a HP Pavilion dv7 6199us laptop and it only has USB 2.0. I've read that your mother board and processor have to be able to run USB 3.0 if you want to change anything out. How do I find out if my computer can run USB 3.0?
If it can run USB 3.0 I would like to either soder off the 2.0 USB ports and put on 3.0 ports or buy a small USB 3.0 board from a HP Pavilion DV6T-7000 and replace the two USB ports that are not attached to the motherboard.
Please let me know if any of this is even possible or if I am just not understanding what the computer requires to run USB 3.0.

Display port STOPPED working Elitebook 8540p
I bought an adaptor for display to HDMI. Connected to my HD TV. Worked great. Then suddenly stopped working. Bought another adaptor. Still not working. I NEED suggestions! I connected another computer to the HD TV through the HDMI input and it worked. So I assume it is not a TV problem.

HP Envy High Pitched Whining When Turn Off and Plugged In!
My new laptop HP Envy m6 w103dx has high pitched noise when turn off and plugged in to the adapter.
(one week old from Best Buy)
Symptomps:
- The sound is more like hissing.
- Noticable when the room is quite.
- It comes from numeric keys area close to the power input jack.

Using UEFI Test: System, MB, Memory, HD, Power Supply, Battery are OK (PASSED)

How do I disable the touchpad on an HP Elitebook Workstation, model number: E8760w?
Double tapping either the upper right or left corner of the touchpad does not work. Neither does pressing and holding the upper right or left corner of the touchpad. Neither does going in to Start; Control Panel; Devices and Printers or Device Manager; to look for a touchpad disable button.

Hi, both of these models of laptops are listed on the UK website but have the exact same tech specs listed, at the same price in the same colour.
Anyone know the difference of these machines?
I think it has to maybe do with the RAM, since one says it's on board and the other says it's one stick (implying it's not souldered to the board like the other one).
Anyone got any idea?
Also, what speed is the ram? Can't seem to find that

Hi at all,
first sorry for my english but this is not my mother language.
I want to upgrade the processor on my HP 630 TPN-F102 laptop.
I've already installed an Intel Celeron B810 socket 988B rPGA, that is socket G2 I think.
My chipset is Intel Sandy Bridge rev.09
My southbridge is Intel HM65 rev.B2
My question is:
What is the best processor that I can mount with an integrated graphic card? (mine does'nt have one dedicated)
If they need other data I'm available.

Space Bar Issues
System Model: HP ENVY 17 Notebook PC
hello,
today I realized that half of my space bar is losing sensitivity. How do I fix it? Is it a hardware issue? I do have a warranty with HP that covers hardware issues so I wonder if I'll have to send it in. I'd be annoyed to have to mail this to hp.com just to fix half of a key but I do use the space bar frequently (as do most people). With this keyboard type, I am not sure how to clean it other than rubbing around the edges of the key to try and wipe away any crumbs that may be there. I haven't spilled any liquids or foods on it and all my other keys seem to be working fine.
Other notes:
I have checked that sticky keys are not on.

windows 8.1 upgrade to windows 10 failure
reapetedly turns off in the middle of upgrading, says that it needed to be cooled down. would automatically reset back to windows 8.1 upon turning on my laptop. the code for the error is 0xC1900101-0x2000C. once its on, the screen says the instalation failed in the SAFE_OS phase with an error during APPLY_IMAGE operation. tried to look up the code number but got nothing. any clue on what i should do, because it upgraded beforei restarted it to factory manufacture to take away the blue screen
