hi there i am an owner of a pavillion dv6 2120ev WA042EA (the one with the nvidia M150 GPU chipset). i had the laptop for roughly four years now and for the past year or so i have been having issues with the cooling fan located under the power button.
I though of replacing the fan since i am in no financial condision for a new pc as of now but i cant find no single info on the actual fan besides what it looks like.
With this i am unable to find tha same fan in order to replace it and i would kindly appriciate helping me out here.
If anyone casn tell me where i can buy one as well it would be awsome.
p.s. I live in the island of Cyprus(if this actually maters)

Compaq 6910P power supply.
Hi all,
I have a 6910P, and actually I use to power supply it, an AC adaptor with a 2 wires cable, and sometimes the notebook do not start. I have the doubt that the AC adapter is not the correct adapter, and probably the correct AC adapter is that with 3 wires.
Do someone say me what kind of AC adapter the 6910P need?
How I can understand what is the correct AC adapter?

HP Envy m6 Broken hinges
Just like so many other HP users my HP Envy m6 is also out of warranty and both hinges are broken and caused the screen bezel to crack as well. Looks like it is a major defect with the HP Envy m6 laptops. Any chances of getting HP to take care of the issue?

Comparison of features to assure proper motherboard is purchased
I have a Pavilion dv4-1145go with a 486724-001 motherboard, which is dead.
In searching the Internet, I have seen several motherboards with the same model number, but which are advertised for use in other Pavilion models, such as dv4-1020us, dv4-1125, etc.
Where can I find a comparison of specs and features for various dv4 models?
Can I be comfortable that the 486724-001 motherboard will fit and function properly, regardless of which dv4 model it is intended for?

I am expecting that an HP laptop with HP Notebook computers with the HP Unified Extensible Firmware Interface (UEFI) can perform a battery and fan check. Thus, I will be seeing these error messages below, if there are problems. However, if the HP Unified Extensible Firmware Interface (UEFI)is not installed, then no error messages will be listed even if there are problems. I am right or not? Then, UEFI is charge of listing those errors, and not BIOS?

memory upgrade HP Pavilion 17z-1200 (17z-f100 CTO energy star)
Hello,
I just recevied this nice HP Pavilion notebook today. When I ordered it with 4GB (1 dimm) ... I was planning to upgrade the memory myself. Well, I opened the box today and there doesn't seem to be a way to open the bottom of the notebook to add more memory.
Can someone point me to a document that explains and illustrates how to add more memory to my notebook?
If I can't upgrade the memory I will have to return it. I wish HP had been more clear about this....

Green spot on the screen
I bought a HP 13.3" touchsccreen laptp (Model number: 13-a058ca) in Future shop about 1.5 month ago, and there's a green spot suddenly appears on the screen today? Why is this happening? And what can I do to fix it? Thank you.

UK Spec HP Omen - 2.4Ghz WiFi 11n only ?
I have purchased the HP Omen from the HP Store in the UK. It is the UK Spec model with £ keyboard etc.
On the US sites it shows as having decent WiFi (11ac) however the model that has arrived only seems to have a basic 802.11 b/g/n 2.4 Ghz card (Intel?) It will not work with 5Ghz or 11ac. This seems a touch naff for a "power" laptop.
Given the US models seem to offer 2.4/5Ghz as well as 11ac HP appears to have downgraded the UK model which is not so impressive given the price does not seem to have dropped for the one model you are offering.
So the questions are
1. Are the 5Ghz antenna and connectors still in the UK model
2. Can I fit an alternative Intel WiFi card as per the US models ? Intel 7260HMWWB
3. Does this board also include the Bluetooth in which case I need a different model 7260.HMWWBR
4. Will this invalidate my warranty
5. Why do you ship such a crummy adapter with this PC ?

hp pavilion entertainment pc display problem
when i am starting the lap the black screen is appearing green and there is a shades of pink when desktop appears and green colour continues
display is working good when it is kept at low angle.
when i connected to separate monitor it is working good

Power up Problem.
Please i have meet 3 different laptops with exactly same fault. It just will not On. When you press the Power Button, the light indicator will show and then go off immediately. The system fan does not recieve power showing that the power stopped at the switch or the board. I 've changed the processor / Ram still it won't respond.<br>Please help.!!!

HP Pavilion dv7-4285dx
My battery is not a part of the replacement program, but recently caught fire and melted where the plug connects to the adapter. I now have burnt carpet to replace and had to purchase my own replacement battery. I was hoping at the very least to get a free replacement battery, but my model isn't eligible? Have all of the problem power cords not been recalled yet?
